Kim graduated from the University of South Africa in 2005 and was admitted as an attorney in 2007.

Kim has been practicing at Francois Medalie & Co since 2007.

She deals with and specialises in Deceased Estates, Family Law, Personal Injury Law, Road Accident Fund Claims and general litigation in the High and Magistrates Courts.

Mrs Moira Ann Medalie

Attorney, Notary, Conveyancer formerly admitted in Gauteng and later admitted and in practice in KwaZulu-Natal, Law Adviser in Johannesburg City Council for 2 years and Regional Court Prosecutor in Department of Justice, Gauteng for several years prior to moving to KwaZulu-Natal.

In partnership for + 15 years with Leandy Laroque & Partners (later Leandy & Partners) Has extensive experience in Sectional Title and Share Block including the drafting of involved commercial and property agreements for Developers and Financial Institutions. Also deals with Notarial, Conveyancing, deceased Estates and Curatorship related matters.

Has served for approximately six (6) years on Committee appointed by the KwaZulu-Natal Law Society on Sectional Titles, and amending legislation.

By invitation was appointed to the panel of Arbitrators established by the Registrar of Deeds, Pietermaritzburg, and has sat as Arbitrator on several occasions.

Has been a Partner in the practice Francois Medalie and Company Pinetown for + 20 years.

With many years of experience in a municipal environment, I have gained a wealth of institutional knowledge. This has enabled me to maintain and establish extensive networks with various Departments and officials within the eThekwini Municipal system, with whom I have an excellent wdrking relationship. I have also worked with built environment professionals such as Town Planners, Architects, Land Surveyors and Engineers; as well as with Attorneys and Advocates. Consequently, I am able to provide professional services to clients in the following areas:

(a) Preparation of motivations for Special Consent Applications;
(b) Preparation of applications for the Removal of Restrictive conditions in title;
(c) Preparation of motivations for Rezoning applications;
(d) Preparation of motivations for Subdivisional applications;
(e) Preparation and presentation of Appeals to Appeal bodies;
(f) Provide Town Planning advice relating to development and Land Use; all in terms of both the previous and present Town Planning legislation;
(g) Preparation and motivation of objections to the above applications.
(h) General enquiries relating to municipal matters.

Cassy graduated from the University of South Africa in 2013 and after completing his articles was admitted as an attorney in January 2016.
Cassy began working at Francois Medalie and Company in June 2013 and is now a Professional Assistant at the firm.
He deals with litigation in both civil and criminal law, including Domestic Violence, Family Law, Education Law, Debt review applications, Rescission of Judgments and Administration Orders, both in the High and Magistrates Courts.

Louisa has been admitted as an attorney for 25 years, a conveyancer for 10 years, and is also admitted to appear in the High Court.

Louisa has been a litigation attorney, specialising mostly in medical malpractice and insurance law, in both the High and Magistrate’s Court.

Over the last few years Louisa has expanded her horizons into the realms of property law and presently runs the conveyancing department at FMI Legal.

Louisa is also accredited a mediator.
